Our client is a family-oriented practice group that provides full-service vision care for children and adults. Our friendly, comfortable, and professional offices are located inside select retail locations. Job DescriptionOptometrist responsibilities include analyzing vision tests, diagnosing potential vision imparities, and prescribing corrective lenses and eyeglasses. To be successful in this role, the optometrist should be detail oriented, able to treat patients with kindness and discretion, from young children to the elderly. Ultimately, you will ensure the accurate diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and injuries. Responsibilitieso Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision tests o Diagnose defects of the eye, such as myopia, astigmatism, and glaucoma o Provide personalized temporary and permanent solutions to visual imparities based on each patient's specific case and medical history o Prescribe medications, eyeglasses, and contact lenses o Advise patients on proper eye care techniques o Keep updated and accurate medical records for all patients o Advise patients on how to use and maintain their contact lenses o Co-management of patients with local Ophthalmologists Requirementso Degree in Optometry, or currently enrolled in your 4th year of Optometry school o In-depth understanding of eye conditions and vision defects o The ability to explain medical terms in a clear and concise manner o Patient focused Note - to be considered for this position, you need to be a licensed optometrist, in the process of acquiring your Optometrist License, or currently enrolled in your 4th year of Optometry school.
